It all started with outdoor furniture.

Alaire was born from a clear vision: to create outdoor spaces with the same design, comfort and sophistication traditionally reserved for interiors. Inspired by travels through Southeast Asia, where outdoor living is part of everyday life, the brand began with a belief that indoor and outdoor spaces should feel naturally connected.

Founded as a family business, Alaire introduced Portugal to outdoor furniture with international design, superior quality and a carefully curated point of view.

Over time, that vision evolved into complete furniture and décor solutions for residential, commercial and hospitality projects. Today, Alaire creates soulful living environments, both inside and out.

1998

Exoteca was founded, introducing Balinese furniture to the Portuguese market and marking the beginning of a journey rooted in outdoor living.

2000

The first store opened in Cascais, creating a physical space where clients could discover curated furniture and outdoor living inspiration.

2006

Alaire was born with a focus on outdoor living, responding to a growing demand for design-led exterior spaces.

2016

A new store and showroom opened in Cascais, with more than 1,000 m² dedicated to furniture, materials and curated living environments.

2018

Alaire was recognised as a Small Business Leader, reinforcing the brand’s credibility, growth and position in the Portuguese market.

2025

The Kave Home launch marked a new chapter for Alaire, expanding the brand’s offer with a dedicated store-in-store experience.
